cinematographer

Should you ever find yourself playing Scrabble [1] and have the rack CEEINOR, please check the board for the appropriately placed words MAT and GRAPH. When you note that they are on the lateral or medial extrema of the board, please play the word CINEMATOGRAPHER for a triple-triple-triple and a shameless 702 points. Oops, forgot the bingo: make that 752.

It is unlikely you will ever do this, unless you play like an old British lady, or my brother.

[1] Playing scrabble is an excellent way to find onesself.

about the author

I was born at a very young age. Now some time has passed, and I am not as young and I once was. Recently, I purchased a houseplant.

My actual, semi-professional personal webpage in which I acknowledge that I am a real person can be found here.

I'm writing this from my humble abode in beautiful Lyndhurst, Ohio (pop. 15,000), one of many middle-ring suburbs of Cleveland (the "middle east" side, if you will). It's sandwiched between such well-known towns as Beachwood and South Euclid. Cleveland proper is 26 minutes away by car; through some topological mystery, the travel time is independent of route chosen.

My oftentimes place of employment is in Highland Heights; although my commute takes 9 minutes (25 by bicycle), I travel through 4 towns en route. It's Jersey sans coverage from hip cinematographers.

about this page

I've called my page the augmented fourth since its maculate inception ca. 1996; it was once a playground for me to explore HTML and page design, which is why it was previously done using HTML+CSS and had miniature gifs for navigation and spacing. Writing html is a dying art, though, replaced by the web two-point-oh. This matches my needs well, since what I actually use my site for includes:
  • reference-from-anywhere, such as a start page
  • photo albums, although I'm migrating to lower-overhead online services for Julian
  • accounting jibberish that's handy to show off, such as lists of movies or beers

I'm hoping blogger's tagging features will serve to circumvent its unnecessary but imposed chronological display. This page is part of the site's base layer and is about webpaging. So many words to make up, so little time.
